Jame Liu, DVM

James Liu is a wildlife veterinarian, field biologist, photographer, and filmmaker. James previously worked for the National Park Service, UC Davis One Health Institute, San Diego Zoo Institute for Conservation Research, and Los Angeles Zoo. His work has centered around the human-wildlife relationship, traveling to study everything from turtles to the health of indigenous hunting tribes of Northern Nicaragua.

However, his main love remains turtles and tortoises. Currently, he spearheads the Turtle Conservancy’s outreach, communications, and helps manage the organizations many field programs.
