Allison Meltzer

Allison Meltzer is a member of the American Association of Zookeepers and a Turtle Conservancy (TC) animal keeper since April 2024. After graduating with her third associate’s degree, the most recent from the intensive Exotic Animal and Training Program at Moorpark’s America’s Teaching Zoo, Meltzer began working as an animal keeper at the Turtle Conservancy. Since then, she has attended the AZA Chelonian Biology, Conservation, and Management course at the Turtle Survival Alliance’s TSC campus, was recently wed to her now-husband, and has taken on additional medical, breeding, education, touring, and other responsibilities at the TC. She has a passion for ensuring the quality care of her animals and connecting with the public in a way that fosters inspiration about conservation.
