Christian Flores

Christian is an animal welfare specialist with prior experience in the care of marsupials, ungulates, reptiles, seabirds, and raptors. With an emphasis on ethology and nutrition, Christian is the primary caretaker of the facility’s Nursery and young turtles, alongside the critically-endangered ploughshare tortoise. Christian’s additional passions include wildlife and science education, utilizing social media as a tool to engage general audiences with topics encompassing conservation, environmental action, and natural history. He has also fulfilled creative roles as a writer and zoological consultant for literary works.
