Cora Dyslin

Cora is a new addition to the Turtle Conservancy team and manages the medical department at the center. She has her master’s degree in biology with an emphasis in conservation ecology and has over 3 years of veterinary care experience. She is passionate about wildlife conservation, particularly freshwater chelonians such as the Central American River turtle - the species she researched for her master’s thesis. Before graduate school she worked for the San Diego Zoo’s conservation research program assisting with captive breeding of the Pacific Pocket mouse. Cora enjoys working hands-on with wildlife and having a job that allows her to have personal relationships with a variety of species.
