Elise Collins
Born and raised in the Ojai Valley, Elise has been a valued member of the Turtle Conservancy team since 2022, serving as Office Manager and Director of Hospitality. She spent much of her childhood outdoors, developing an appreciation and respect for the land and the wildlife that inhabit it. This connection to nature sparked her interest in environmental policy and its impact on the ecosystems that wildlife depend on. She earned a degree in Political Science from UC Berkeley, where she further strengthened her commitment to conservation. After graduating, Elise returned to Ojai to pursue meaningful work that allowed her to combine her skills with her dedication to environmental stewardship.
She brings a passion for the Ojai Valley to her work, taking pride in welcoming guests and sharing the Turtle Conservancy’s mission with visitors from around the world.
Outside of work, Elise enjoys yoga, winemaking and spending time with her horse, Chloe, and her dog, Leo. Her local knowledge and love for animals make her a warm and engaging ambassador for the Turtle Conservancy.
