Manci Rasmussen

Manci Rasmussen joined the Turtle Conservancy in 2018, first working as a Chelonian Husbandry Assistant before stepping into her current role as Director of Education. She holds a degree in Anthrozoology from Carroll College in Helena, Montana, where she studied the interactions and relationships between humans and animals. With a lifelong passion for animals, Manci has extensive experience working with chelonians as well as snakes, lizards, dogs, and livestock. Her background in animal husbandry informs her approach to conservation education, where she emphasizes both the biological significance of reptiles and the importance of fostering human connections with wildlife. At the Turtle Conservancy, Manci develops and leads programs that inspire curiosity, deepen scientific understanding, and encourage stewardship among younger generations. Whether teaching about turtle lifecycles or facilitating hands-on research, she works to connect people with nature.
