Sibille H. Pritchard

Sibille Hart Pritchard, Sibille is the co-founder of the Chelonian Research Institute and an accomplished businesswoman with a professional background in journalism, public and government relations, commercial and tourism development and international business development for the state of Florida. Her career began in journalism, where she spent 15 years as an award-winning women’s editor for the Guyana Graphic newspaper in Guyana. She was named one of Orlando Magazine’s 50 Most Powerful in Entertainment & the Arts and Women Who Mean Business by the Orlando Business Journal.

As a board member and a native of Guyana, she supports the Guyana Sea Turtle program, which was initiated by her late husband Dr. Peter Pritchard, a world-renowned turtle expert who was listed as one of Time magazine’s Heroes of the Planet. She provides oversight to the Pritchard collection of specimens, which belonged to Dr. Pritchard. She also supports public relations and promotion of TC through her incredible experience and networks in conservation, donors and nonprofits.
